Don't forget the famous "There's A Baby Being Born" banter from the Golden Gate Park show in 1975. The AUDs from that show carry it all. Great stuff...

Heh. I always chuckle at Bobby's rather angry tone when he says that.

Nice comp of banter btw, made me laugh this morning.

well the band certainly wasn't all peace and love when it came to suffering idiots. You can hear all of them deride annoying audience members from time to time. Another one of my favorites is their reaction to the " protestors" on the Festival Express movie. Kind of hard to relate to the types around here who think all their music should be free.

haha thanks for making this compilation. I've actually considered making a Best of Tuning album in my boredom before. The one where the audience was throwing joints on stage is hilarious.

HAHAHAHA!

I once missed most of a first set of a Kimock show because I was watching the first presidential debate between John Kerry and George Bush. Boy, was that a stupid idea.

And there's this episode we talked about once:

Oct. 23, 1973: During Casey Jones the band gets pissed when security guards harrass the fans down front. In the middle of the song someone yells, "Knock it off!" and a few moments later Phil stops playing and shouts, "Okay okay okay asshole, okay asshole, okay asshole, that's it for you, you're through." They start up again, but after a few more seconds someone shouts, "Hey don't beat on our audience, guy!" Kreutzman is said by one reviewer here to have jumped out from behind his kit mid-song to tackle an overzealous security guard. Bobby jumps in with, "Quit throwing punches... Everybody quit throwing punches and we'll start playin again." After a few seconds Jerry threatens to end the show altogether and urges calm: "Cool it out here in front... Back down in front, don't yell at each other... Lighten up." Bobby says, "It's real simple -- would you like to hear music or do you want to get punched?" Phil contributes, "It's real simple. Don't cross the barrier and you won't get punched." Eventually things settle down and they break into One More Saturday Night
